Tour Itinerary

Day One   We fly to New Orleans—the Big Easy—for Christmas where the city comes alive.  We will have a city tour including the French Quarter, the Garden District (where the rich and famous live), the great city park and Mardi Gras World where all of last year’s floats are stored and this coming years are made.  Tonight we have a special Christmas dinner—Reveillon—that NOLA locals love this time of year.

Day Two  We tour one of the great plantation mansions today.  New Orleans was captured early by the Union so their lands and homes were spared so we can enjoy them today.  The house will be decked out for antebellum Christmas.  We then head to the capital city of Baton Rouge and tour their very different capital.  We will experience the gorgeous Christmas lights at this grand city this evening.

Day Three  A jazz brunch at the court of Two Sisters—one of the most famous NOLA restaurants—kick starts our day off.  We will have a free afternoon to enjoy the sights, shop or just take in the Christmas atmosphere.  Tonight we do the fabulous lights of the city.  Warm destinations go crazy  with lights to make the season more festive.

Day Four   Today we head out of New Orleans on the Creole Queen Paddleboat and learn the history of the area including the fabled Battle of New Orleans.  Sit back and watch the Mississippi roll by.  Tonight we have our goodbye dinner at one of the great restaurants in the Big Easy.

Day Five  A final free morning before we fly home with memories of Christmas in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, great NOLA food, Mississippi river Cruise and all the charm of your French Quarter hotel.
